Situated in the firth of Clyde the Isle of Bute is just 15 miles long and 4 miles wide. It is reached by ferry from the Wemyss Bay Ferry Terminus, which is about a one hour drive from Glasgow on the M8/A8 motorway. The crossing lasts for 30 minutes.
